The only way to make a late start a good start, is to distract from the mess. In my case this usually begins with the hair. This is why Jackie O perfected the look of the hat (at least I like to think this is why). Not a hat lady? Shame on you. But as Lady Di showed us, headbands can add simple sophistication to your locks. Always keep one or the other in your purse. Primping on your morning commute is not as shameful as it sounds.
