Try being a fan. I have been since age five. Regardless of who has come and gone in the Cardinals lineup, I've always cheered for the home team. Most likely I will continue to do so, long past the days of the great Albert Pujols. Some years you have a phenomenal season, others end in September (if not before). It's the excitement every season of thinking this year's team could go all the way. So while Pujols has provided many great memories, and always gave the hope for a great season to all Cardinals fans my allegiances still belong to the home team. After all, things could be worse. We could have the Cubs to cheer for.
