When you're from St. Louis, it's often hard to offer up kind words to Missouri's second city. Fortunately for the Show-Me state's north side, I have some lovely friends who reside there. Not only is it always great fun to visit them, but they usually open my eyes to the city's more colorful side. Ever the Sunday brunchers, we paid a first visit to Succotash. I loved everything about the originality of this eatery, from deeming itself a "bruncheonette" to my crab, cream cheese, and fennel omelette meal that bore no chance of survival. The only problem with it? It found itself on the wrong side of the state.
