Weekend Review-3.21.10

Silliness is a very misunderstood trait. It's often perceived as immature and dumb. On the contrary though, it is a very important characteristic for a person to have. It's one that reminds us to laugh, even after a string of bad luck. It allows us not to take ourselves too seriously, though we may have been in meetings and doing reports all week. Most of all though it keeps us connected. Because when your silliness gets along with someone else's silliness...well you'll find you have a friend indeed.

  • After my lunch was stolen at work, and i had to settle for an unsatisfying salad, I licked my wounds and hopped in the car to Columbia, MO for a mini-reunion weekend.
  • So eight girls in one basement apartment sounds a little tight, right? Not if all eight lived in a sorority house with 64 other girls. Just make sure you BYOTP.
  • Friday night in Columbia, what do you do? Visit Columbia's finest gentlemen, Quinton's and Willie's.
  • You know you're getting old when the rules have changed. We had no idea bouncers were required to obtain chicken fajita nachos at El Rancho. How absurd. Yet, so worth it.
  • The things you miss when you're in a deep deep sleep...
  • In a strange twist of irony it snowed on the first day of Spring. From 7:00 A.M. to about 8:00 P.M. to be precise.
  • To continue with the theme of normalcy we decided to caravan down Broadway to Lucy's Cafe for a bright and early breakfast at 7:30.
  • Eat. Sleep. Eat. Sleep. Then eat again.
  • Does any channel offer better material to trash talk and gossip with than Bravo?
  • It's amazing what a shower will do for your morale. Not to mention its ability to once again trigger hunger.
  • I said I wouldn't do it, but I'm not as strong as I strive to be. Addison's chicken nachos are just too good to resist.
  • It would have been succumbing to age if we didn't go out Saturday night as well. Enter: Big 12.
  • Don't get hit with that ugly stick.
  • Best pickup line to date: "Whose tongue is longer?"
  • Seriously, you really miss a lot when you fall asleep early.
  • Two days worth of eating and drinking out does not add up to a fantastic rise and shine on Sunday.
  • Fire alarms. They signal floods these days too.
  • Once you come back from the life of the dream, it's hard to imagine just how much and how fast things have changed.
